Yes! It’s National Pizza Month!
Did you know October is National Pizza Month? Yes! It’s National Pizza Month! Celebrate National Pizza Month by reading about some pizza history, and then visit Old Town Pizzeria.
The first National Pizza Month was observed in October 1984. Pizza Today magazine and pizzeria owner Gerry Durnell declared the celebration. He chose October because Pizza Today magazine debuted in October. Gerry Durnell lived in Santa Claus, Indiana and struggled to support his growing pizza business. He also noticed that the pizza industry, in general, was not supported in Santa Claus, Indiana. To support the pizza industry, he created a pizza-themed magazine, which then allowed National Pizza Month to happen.
All October long, celebrate National Pizza Month with some mouthwatering pizzas at Old Town Pizzeria. We have an incredible pizza menu that includes classic favorites and innovative originals. An example of a classic Old Town Pizzeria pizza is our meat supreme pizza. This menu item is made with pepperoni, meatballs, sausage, bacon, tomato sauce, and mozzarella. On the other hand, if you’re looking for something more unique, consider the baked penne pizza. This dish includes penne pasta, Pomodoro sauce, ricotta, and mozzarella.
Some other examples of Old Town Pizzeria pizzas include our white pizza, our vegetarian supreme pizza, our salad pizza, and our tomato basil pizza. Order our BBQ chicken pizza for chicken, bbq sauce, mozzarella, cheddar, and a ranch drizzle, or place an order for the grandma pizza with thin crust, chunky tomato sauce, fresh garlic, oregano, and mozzarella and romano cheese.
